1 head cabbage, diced (or 1 bag shredded cabbage
1 bunch green onions, sliced
1/4 cup margarine
3 to 5-oz. sesame seeds (or 1 small jar)
3 oz. slivered almonds
3 oz. pkg. oriental Ramen noodles, broken up
1/8 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup salad oil
1-1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
Mix together cabbage and onion. Melt margarine, then add Ramen seasoning packet, sesame seeds, almonds, dry Ramen noodles; brown (cool by placing in fridge). Mix dressing ingredients together and boil; let cool, but do not refrigerate. Toss all ingredients together just before serving.
Use leftover salad to make Egg Rolls: Brown 1/2 to 1 lb. ground pork; mix with half of above salad. Wrap in Egg Roll Wrappers; deep fry. Makes approx. 35 small Egg Rolls.
