1/2 lb. bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup chili sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Two 16-oz. cans pork and beans

One 15.5-oz. can kidney beans

One 15.5-oz. can lima beans

One 15.5-oz. can navy beans

One 15.5-oz. can butter beans

One 15.5-oz. can pinto beans

Fry bacon in skillet until crisp, remove from pan. Discard all fat. Brown ground beef and onion in same skillet. Drain beans (do not drain the pork and beans). Combine all ingredients. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

These beans freeze well. 12 servings, 430 calories/serving; 24% calories from fat.
